Woodland Garden Snail

$2.00$1.50

After a warm rain, the garden feels quieter and more alive at the same time. That’s when a snail appears, moving with complete patience, leaving a thin trail across stone and soil. People who like small nature symbols often keep a snail figure nearby as a reminder to slow down and keep going. This model captures that calm moment in a simple, realistic form that prints well and displays cleanly.

The model depicts a naturalistic snail with a rounded spiral shell and a textured body resting on a wide foot. The shell has visible growth lines and a defined spiral center. The head carries two longer feelers and two smaller ones, with gentle shaping around the mouth area. The underside transitions into a smooth base-like foot, giving the model a stable footprint for printing and display.

It works well as a small desk decoration, an educational model, a diorama element for woodland scenes, or a nature-themed piece for collectors. The surfaces are readable for painting, with enough texture to catch washes and drybrushing, while keeping the overall form sturdy.

This model is based on an original concept and design. The initial 3D form was generated with the assistance of AI tools, after which it was extensively refined and manually detailed in Blender and other 3D editing software. This workflow ensures the model meets the standards of precision, structure, and print-readiness required for high-quality 3D printing.

Please note that the model is primarily designed for textured versions (OBJ + MTL in ZIP archive), allowing for a rich and visually detailed result when used with color-supported 3D printing or digital rendering. The non-textured version (STL, 3MF) may lack some surface details visible in the textured formats. The formats included are STL, OBJ, MTL, and BLEND inside a ZIP archive.

  • Recommended print technology

    • Resin printers for the cleanest shell lines and body texture.

    • FDM printers work well due to the broad contact area of the foot.

  • Suggested resin settings

    • Layer height: 0.05–0.08 mm

    • Orientation: print on the foot for a clean shell surface

    • Supports: light supports under the feelers and small overhangs under the head

    • Resin: standard resin; tough resin if you plan frequent handling

  • Suggested FDM settings

    • Layer height: 0.12–0.20 mm, 0.4 mm nozzle

    • Walls: 2–3 perimeters, infill 10–18%

    • Supports: minimal supports under the feelers if needed

    • Material: PLA or PETG

  • Recommended size, time, material

    • Recommended length: 70–110 mm for a clear, sturdy print

    • Minimum print time to plan for: 240 minutes

    • Material estimate at ~90 mm: Resin 35–70 g or Filament 25–60 g, depending on hollowing and infill

Scaling Note: This model is designed in millimeters (mm). If it appears too small when imported into your slicer, ensure your software is set to mm units. If needed, scale the model up 100x if the slicer defaults to meters instead.
