The Double Mask
Human and Demon Bust
$2.00$1.50
A sculptor once claimed that every person carries two voices. One voice speaks in discipline, order, and restraint. The other speaks in appetite, pride, and the urge to win at any cost. He tried to carve both into a single portrait, to freeze the moment when a man realizes which voice has been driving him. The result became known as The Double Mask, a bust that looks calm from one side and dangerous from the other.
This model is a dual-headed male bust that merges two identities into one piece. The human face shows a stern, controlled expression, with clean planes on the cheekbones, a defined jaw, and neatly styled hair. The second face transitions into a demonic counterpart with a tense grin, heavy brow, and prominent horns rising from the forehead. The two heads share a continuous neck and upper torso block, supported by a stepped circular pedestal base that keeps the model stable and easy to display.
The sculpt is built for strong readability from multiple angles. The human side presents smooth, paint-friendly surfaces for subtle skin shading. The demonic side offers deeper recesses around the teeth, horns, and brow, which helps with washes and dramatic lighting. The base stays simple so it fits on shelves, desks, diorama plinths, or tabletop display boards.
This model is based on an original concept and design. The initial 3D form was generated with the assistance of AI tools, after which it was extensively refined and manually detailed in Blender and other 3D editing software. This workflow ensures the figure maintains its unique character and meets the standards of precision, structure, and print-readiness required for high-quality 3D printing.
Please note that the model is primarily designed for textured versions (OBJ + MTL in ZIP archive), allowing for a rich and visually detailed result when used with color-supported 3D printing or digital rendering. The non-textured version (STL, 3MF) may lack some surface details visible in the textured formats. The formats included are STL, OBJ, MTL, and BLEND inside a ZIP archive.
Recommended print technology
Resin printers for clean facial detail, sharp hair strands, and crisp horn edges.
FDM printers work well at larger sizes with tuned supports and slower outer walls.
Recommended resin settings
Layer height: 0.05 mm
Supports: medium supports under both chins, jaw overhangs, and horn tips
Orientation: tilt 20–30° to protect facial planes and reduce suction
Optional hollowing: 2–3 mm wall thickness with drain holes under the base
Recommended FDM settings
Layer height: 0.12–0.16 mm, 0.4 mm nozzle
Walls: 2–3 perimeters, infill 14–18%
Supports: required for horns, chins, and deep facial recesses
Material: PLA for ease, PETG for tougher horns and edges
Recommended size and estimates
Recommended height: 140–180 mm for display and painting
Supports: required for reliable prints
Minimum print time: 480 minutes
Material estimate at ~160 mm: Resin 110–160 g or Filament 130–190 g, depending on hollowing and infill
Scaling Note: This model is designed in millimeters (mm). If it appears too small when imported into your slicer, ensure your software is set to mm units. If needed, scale the model up 100x if the slicer defaults to meters instead.
