Pale Hive Sentinel

Alien Insectoid Guardian

$2.00$1.50

  1. In the silent corridors of a derelict colony, the walls were covered with pale resin and old claw marks. Deep inside, a sentinel waited in a half-crouched pose, its many limbs folded like tools around a tall armored body. Its black compound eyes watched from several angles at once, while curved mandibles moved slowly beneath the skull-like head. The creature looked less like a beast and more like a living warning placed at the entrance of something forbidden.

This model depicts a tall alien insectoid guardian with a pale chitin shell, elongated limbs, clawed hands, and a segmented tail. The head is the main focal point, with multiple black eye clusters, antennae, tusk-like mandibles, and layered mouth structures. The torso combines exposed organic anatomy with armor-like plates, giving the figure a mix of biological and biomechanical character.

The pose is upright and alert, with the body slightly leaning forward as if preparing to defend a nest or corridor. The back view reveals a long plated tail and four raised arms, while the side view shows the thin digitigrade legs, spined shoulder plates, and ribbed inner body forms. This model works well as a sci-fi enemy, alien hive guard, tabletop boss creature, horror miniature, or display figure for collectors who enjoy insectoid and extraterrestrial anatomy.

This model is based on an original concept and design. The initial 3D form was generated with the assistance of AI tools, after which it was extensively refined and manually detailed in Blender and other 3D editing software. This workflow ensures the figure maintains its unique character and meets the standards of precision, structure, and print-readiness required for high-quality 3D printing.

Please note that the model is primarily designed for textured versions (OBJ + MTL in ZIP archive), allowing for a rich and visually detailed result when used with color-supported 3D printing or digital rendering. The non-textured version (STL, 3MF) may lack some surface details visible in the textured formats. The formats included are STL, OBJ, MTL inside a ZIP archive.

  • Recommended print technology

    • Resin printers are recommended for preserving the eyes, mandibles, claws, antennae, and fine shell details.

    • FDM printers can work at larger display sizes with careful supports and slower outer-wall speeds.

  • Suggested resin settings

    • Layer height: 0.03–0.05 mm

    • Orientation: tilt 20–30° backward or sideways to protect the face and reduce suction around the torso

    • Supports: medium supports under the mandibles, hands, elbows, tail, antennae, and leg tips

    • Hollowing: optional for large prints, with 2–3 mm wall thickness and drain holes hidden under the body or tail area

  • Suggested FDM settings

    • Layer height: 0.12–0.16 mm with a 0.4 mm nozzle

    • Walls: 3 perimeters, infill 12–18%

    • Supports: required for arms, mandibles, tail, claws, antennae, and open gaps under the body

    • Material: PLA for easier printing, PETG for stronger thin parts

  • Recommended size and print estimates

    • Recommended height: 130–180 mm for tabletop boss use, or 200–260 mm for display

    • Supports: required

    • Minimum print time: 540 minutes

    • Material estimate at about 160 mm height: Resin 120–210 g or Filament 150–260 g, depending on hollowing, supports, and infill

Scaling Note: This model is designed in millimeters (mm). If it appears too small when imported into your slicer, ensure your software is set to mm units. If needed, scale the model up 100x if the slicer defaults to meters instead.
