Alien Brood Guardian

$2.00$1.50

  1. In the warm chambers beneath an abandoned colony, workers found walls coated with pale resin and the sound of wings moving in the dark. At the center of the nest stood a single guardian, taller and stranger than the rest, its many arms raised as if warning every intruder to turn back. It did not rush forward. It waited, protecting what slept behind it.

This model depicts an alien insectoid guardian with a long segmented body, multiple limbs, translucent-style wings, and a large sensory head covered with antennae and rounded eye structures. The creature has a wasp-like silhouette mixed with otherworldly anatomy, combining a narrow torso, layered abdomen, clawed hands, and thin organic appendages that give it a restless, defensive presence.

The wings extend backward in long blade-like forms, while the arms and legs create an active crawling or hovering posture. The head is the visual focus, with several pale eyes, curved feelers, and mandible-like facial elements. The underside view shows the segmented abdomen and multiple limb sets clearly, making the model useful from many display angles. It works well as a sci-fi monster, alien brood protector, tabletop boss creature, or display figure for collectors who enjoy insectoid anatomy and unusual silhouettes.

This model is based on an original concept and design. The initial 3D form was generated with the assistance of AI tools, after which it was extensively refined and manually detailed in Blender and other 3D editing software. This workflow ensures the figure maintains its unique character and meets the standards of precision, structure, and print-readiness required for high-quality 3D printing.

Please note that the model is primarily designed for textured versions (OBJ + MTL in ZIP archive), allowing for a rich and visually detailed result when used with color-supported 3D printing or digital rendering. The non-textured version (STL, 3MF) may lack some surface details visible in the textured formats. The formats included are STL, OBJ, MTL, inside a ZIP archive.

  • Recommended print technology

    • Resin printers are recommended for the thin wings, antennae, fingers, mandibles, and facial detail.

    • FDM printers can work at larger sizes, with careful supports and slower print speeds for thin parts.

  • Suggested resin settings

    • Layer height: 0.03–0.05 mm

    • Orientation: tilt 20–30° to protect the head and reduce suction around the torso and wing base

    • Supports: medium supports under the wings, arms, claws, antennae, abdomen, and leg tips

    • Hollowing: optional for large display prints, with 2–3 mm wall thickness and drain holes hidden under the abdomen or lower body

  • Suggested FDM settings

    • Layer height: 0.12–0.16 mm with a 0.4 mm nozzle

    • Walls: 2–3 perimeters, infill 12–18%

    • Supports: required for wings, arms, antennae, legs, and open gaps under the body

    • Material: PLA for easier printing, PETG for stronger thin parts

  • Recommended size and print estimates

    • Recommended length: 120–180 mm for tabletop use, or 200–260 mm for display

    • Supports: required

    • Minimum print time: 540 minutes

    • Material estimate at about 160 mm length: Resin 110–190 g or Filament 130–230 g, depending on hollowing and infill

Scaling Note: This model is designed in millimeters (mm). If it appears too small when imported into your slicer, ensure your software is set to mm units. If needed, scale the model up 100x if the slicer defaults to meters instead.
